Welcome to Caspian
Caspian is a family-friendly Sports Club offering recreational and competitive volleyball, including tournaments, clinics, camps, house league, and Rep teams. Visit us and see why Newmarket loves playing here!
About the Club
Caspian Sport Club was established in 2017 by Dr. Nader Shavandi, international Volleyball coach, former coach of the senior national team of Iran and National youth development coach of Canada.
Our club has created a safe and welcoming environment for individuals of all ages to learn the basics of volleyball as well as become more advanced through an assortment of house league, competitive rep level teams, camps and various clinics.
Our coaches wish to help individuals with a passion for volleyball to expand their skill sets. We cover topics such as nutrition, conditioning, mental fortitude and understanding how physical activity and your body are connected.
Our players go through a talent identification process to determine the best fit for them within our club. Tryouts for our Rep Level teams are held in September as per Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) guidelines.
Our Rep volleyball teams practice 2-3 times weekly and participate in OVA tournaments throughout the year as well as the Provincial Championships in April. Our house leagues, camps & clinics run all year long for all ages, including adults.
Joining our club will ensure you a safe, inclusive and most importantly fun environment where you can study the sport you love. We invite anyone of any age, regardless of experience, to become a member of the Caspian Sports Club. We hope to see many new and eager to learn faces at our tryouts.
